Christopher Davidson Solicitors LLP marks the retirement of Conveyancing Stalwart, David Foulser
30 January 2026
After almost than six decades in the legal profession — including over 25 years at Christopher Davidson Solicitors LLP — David Foulser has announced his retirement, bringing to a close a career in conveyancing that has assisted countless clients move house, many on multiple occasions. David’s reputation for prompt, efficient, friendly, and thoroughly professional service helped to build enduring trust in the firm’s residential property practice.
David began his legal journey in 1969, working for several local firms before joining Christopher Davidson Solicitors in May 1999, where his deep expertise and calm, client-first approach became a hallmark of the conveyancing department. His colleagues and clients alike will remember him not just for his remarkable knowledge of property quirks in and around Cheltenham, but for his willingness to go the extra mile — often starting his day early to accommodate global time differences for any overseas clients and ensure every matter was handled with care.
Christopher Davidson Solicitors would like to extend heartfelt thanks to David for his years of dedication, unwavering professionalism and friendship. Clients past and present can be reassured that the firm remains fully committed to delivering a seamless, supportive service through this transition and beyond — a fitting tribute to a colleague who has done so much to shape the firm’s legacy.
As David retires from the profession, the firm is pleased to confirm that Martin Priest and Phil Ryder will be taking on the work David has overseen, ensuring continuity of service and deep expertise for all current and future clients.
